The aim of the Radicalism of fools project is to help develop a deeper understanding of anti-Semitism. It is based on the conviction that the public discussion of the subject is often inadequate.
Of course there are others who think deeply about these themes. I have written about some of them on this website. But they tend not to be known to the general public.
I raise this point now because there are, happily, many new subscribers to the site. It also serves as a reminder to established readers.
The goal here is not to report the news or to run an activist campaign. There is an important role for both but the Radicalism of fools is not trying to do either of them.
If anything the task of rethinking anti-Semitism has become more urgent than ever given the tragic events of the past year. Under these circumstances I am keen not only to maintain this site but to extend its impact. That means raising funds.
The Radicalism of fools will remain free to all those who want to read its articles. However, I am hoping that all those who can afford to will make a contribution.
For Premium subscribers the price is £100 a year or £10 a month (or the equivalent in other currencies). In return they will receive my Quarterly Review of Anti-Semitism (the next edition is due out in October). They will also receive a signed copy of my Letter on Liberty on Rethinking Anti-Semitism and access to my invitee-only Radicalism of fools Facebook group.
For those who are particularly generous and have the means, there is a Patron level. The rate for that is £250 a year or £20 a month (or the equivalent in other currencies). This will include all the benefits of the Premium level plus a one-to-one discussion with me either face-to-face (if in London) or online.
All money received will be used to fund the essential task of developing a better understanding of anti-Semitism. I am hoping the Radicalism of fools project will play an important role in shaping the debate on tackling this terrible scourge.
You can sign up at any of the levels HERE.
A happy new year to all those who celebrate.
